One of the conventions that could be considered is the main male role being played by a girl. Although this is a very common thing to do in theater, it is not a very known thing in the film. This role was not originally seen to be “boundary breaking” by our group but more convenient. This is because we could not find a male actor to play this role and Natalie came dressed like that to school for spirit week. We believed that this was perfect timing for our film and thought nothing more of it. However, when looking at it now, this can be seen as something out of the ordinary. These days, this type of thing- a female playing a male role- is not seen as a huge deal. This is because society is becoming more open to these things and more accepting. Although, there will always be someone who does not see the

Production- Beginning to Edit

Image
When I got home from a long day of filming the music video, I instantly began to edit. To start with, I removed the volume from all the videos so it was easier to hear the music over it. Then, I began to cut out all of our bloopers. This included us saying the wrong thing or doing the wrong thing. This also included trimming the parts where we personally thought the video looked off or that we could do better. After this short process, I opened up CapCut. I began to put the clips in the order of our storyboard. However, when  viewing the video as a whole, some parts seemed confusing or were hard to understand. To fix this, I began to toy around with the layout of the video. But, this still looked a little off. So, I put the clips in its original order. After thought of what to do to make the flashbacks clear, I decided to insert a transition in-between the clips. These transitions were white flashes that popped up on the screen and I believe it really helped show the concept

Production- Editing

To edit this video, we decided to use CapCut. This is because it is very easy and has a lot of useful features. For example, in the areas of the film where you could not hear us or mouthed the words, we could put speech bubbles. It is also very easy to put sound over the film. As well as trim the videos if needed. Overall, we found this platform to be the best out of the rest and used it to create our video. The first issue we faced when making this videos was  matching the music to the storyline and the order the storyline should go in. When our group made the storyboard, we were certain on the order, however with closer attention to the song, we decided to mix the order up a little. Since we also filmed all of the videos on Hayley's phone, I had her airdrop all of the content to me so I can fool around with some ideas and see which one would fit our vision the most. To get the music for our video was definitely the most tricky thing to do during this process. This is be
