While making this project, I faced and am still facing several setbacks and issues. However, I am learning how to solve them quicker and quicker. To begin with, I decided to use the editing platform, iMovie. This is because like any kid I used to make movies on my iPad with this platform and I knew how to use it efficiently. So, I started to decide what order I wanted all of my videos and photos to be in and how long I wanted them to be shown. This process was also when I started to realize that some pictures were not suited properly for the direction I wanted to take my commercial in. This is because separately these pictures looked like they all matched and had the same feel to them. But when I put them all together, the color and vibe varied ever so often. So, I ended up deleting most of the pictures and one of the videos I did not like and begun scrolling through all of my pictures once again. Preferably, I wanted recent pictures, but during this process, I discovered that that would be a very tricky thing to accomplish. I began to scroll into photos from February and late 2022 until I finally began to get pictures of just myself that would match this video. I even got a video that was taken freshman year at a homecoming game!

Sorting through pictures and videos took a lot of time but finally I got the desired look I was going for. So, I began to add my music over it to match the pictures to the beat. This is when I realized iMovie did not allow the song I wanted to play, play over my video. So, I began to look for my second option, Delicate by Taylor Swift, and quickly noticed that none of my songs were allowed to go over the film. Finally, after trying everything, I downloaded a different editing app: Capcut. This app seemed to be promising at first considering how many famous influencers and friends use it but for some reason, I had a very difficult time figuring out how to do anything. Which is when I downloaded another film editing app: Video Editor. While Video Editor did have a similar platform as iMovie, it also did not allow me to put music over the video. This is when I decided to stop and ask my teacher next class what the best next step would be.
