Production Blog
Before we began our editing process, Hayley and I discussed which parts we wouldn't mind editing. For our last project, since it was shorter, I was the only one editing the film in the group. But, since this is a longer film that requires more factors, we decided it would be best if both of us do the editing. We were not really sure how to split it up and thought of many ways to divide it. For example, we brought up that one could do half the movie and the other could do the last half. However, in the end, we found it easier for one of us to do the titles and opening sequences. Meanwhile, the other would do the actual editing of the film. I offered to do the editing of the actual film. This is because I had prior experience and I have the app on my phone. Once I am done with this process, I would sen it to Hayley. Once she gets it, she would add the words on the screen the audience would see. Like we agreed on before, the opening sequences would appear in coordinating corners. They would also be in the Viner Hand ITC. The title scene at the end of the movie would be in the center of the screen. However, it would not be in the same font as the opening sequence. Instead, it would be in Chiller. In a previous blog, I discussed how my friends have offered to help us with the film. My friend, Scott, has had lots of experience and might be helping us film a lot of the scenes. He also is planning on showing Hayley and I the editing skills he has picked up. To be clear, he will not be doing the editing for us. Scott will just be giving tips and opinions. But, his overall role would to be helping us film when Hayley and I both need to be in the scene.
